Or, at least, technically tomorrow is a momentous day. Guess whyyyyyyy~.



A lot of you will remember my (atrocious) Harry Potter/Final Fantasy work a long time ago - and tonight at midnight, out comes the 6th Harry Potter movie. I haven't been so excited about Harry Potter... probably since the last book/movie came out. It's really nice, actually. I've neglected my love for Harry Potter for a very long time, become crazy with other fandoms, but Harry Potter will always have a large piece of my heart. It’s what really awakened my love of reading, and my desire to write books, and for that I’ll always be grateful to it. Besides, I haven’t been to a midnight showing of a movie in years. I remember going to see the 4th one in eighth grade, and having to go to school the next day – and seeing the movie again that night with my Harry Potter Club. :3 Harry brings back such good memories.

I’m going to see it with my freshman-year friends ( included), and sometime while it’s still in theaters I need to go see it again with and buddies. Lucky me-hee!

I’ve been getting fat again. D8 With nothing to do but sit at home, work on the online class (which is done ON SATURDAY I could cry tears of joy and soy sauce), and eat, I’ve been eating more often than usual which is making me put on extra pudge. Luckily, from the front I don’t look so bad (my hips are misleading), it’s just from the side that I have this weird… kind of swoop from under my chest down to my belly. Almost like I’m two weeks pregnant or something. I hope it’s just my typical insecurities saying that, but I really feel like I’m starting to bulge more. I’d been trying to get my mom to buy a bunch of low-fat Yoplait yogurt so that I’m not pigging out on cookies or chips all the time, and she did go out and buy yogurt, but the store-brand kind and the taste is fine, the texture is just like really thick milk.

So yeah. I’m fatter. It’s upsetting.

Being at home all the time is also starting to kind of rub things raw between me and my mom. We’ve been getting on each other’s nerves lately, mostly because my dad is holding part of his 35th high school reunion at our house.

I’ll repeat that.

AT. OUR. HOUSE. 25 FIFTY-YEAR-OLD MEN AND WOMEN TELLING ME THEY HAVEN’T SEEN ME SINCE I WAS LITTLE AND GETTING QUASI DRUNK AND INVADING MY HOME WHILE I’M EXPECTED TO STAND AROUND AWKWARDLY WISHING I HAD MY DRIVER’S LICENSE SO I COULD FLEE.

My mom is on a cleaning spree and it’s ticking me off because it’s very difficult for me to keep up with all my online junk AND clean the house all at the same time. So we’ve been arguing about that. And I really, really, REALLY want to get out of the house and away from my family for a while, but I haven’t had the chance. Plus, in a few weeks, it’ll be my paternal grandma’s 80th birthday, so we’re going to California, which means I’ll be stuck in a car for 5 hours with my family, then stuck with them all weekend, and then stuck again for another five hours on the way home. My mom and dad also want to go on a poker run up in Tonopah where my other grandma lives (not even really in Tonopah, about an hour east of Tonopah in a little population-of-fifty town called Manhattan), which means sitting on ATVs being bored while my mom and dad play poker and I watch. Or sitting in my grandma’s trailer in Manhattan with the mice and no TV.

I’m trying to decide whether or not I can risk hiding at home by myself while they go on that poker run. I’m free to do it, my cousin could stay with me or I’d probably be okay by myself (I am 17 years old, after all), but the risk lies in disappointing my mom or making my grandma sad. Motherly disappointment means she gives me sad looks for about a week, or treats me like we’ve known each other for five minutes and I didn’t give off a good first-impression, then denies acting in any such way when I confront her about it.

XD But otherwise, I’m good. Nothing much to complain about, besides what I’ve complained about here (you guys are so patient with me). How are you guys? :3 Drop me a line or something. I’m bored and lonely and miss seeing those of you who I’m used to seeing you on a semi-daily basis.
